Long Island, NY — A year and a half after their debut album, one-of-a-kind hard rock outfit The Fulcrum have returned with a music video for “Wolves,” the first single off their upcoming sophomore release.
The unique video successfully balances the frenetic energy of the music with the satire of the lyrics, in stunning, cinematic clarity.
“I’ve always enjoyed satire, but I think this is the first time I’ve written a song that’s essentially mocking something” said Fulcrum co-frontman Anthony “Chio” Chiofalo. “The lyrics make fun of know-it-alls, tyrannical leaders, conmen, and the like. We were really able to drive that idea home in a fun way with this video.”

Though the video is comical, it also has layers. It was concepted by the band and features all four members acting out an initiation, for what could only be described as an amateur cult. Early on in the video, it doesn’t seem like the newcomer is going to make it into the group. But it takes a turn when he goes above and beyond to change the other members’ minds…and then ultimately, changes his own.

“Wolves” was shot and edited by Dave Stutts, whose professional experience as a videographer and on-camera talent for several major brands shines through in every frame. “The guys in The Fulcrum are everything that you want when filming a band,” said Stutts. “High-energy, charismatic, and full of ideas that they’re ready to execute at a moment’s notice. The second I heard Wolves, I knew that I wanted to film it. It’s a great track and I’m stoked with what we created from it.”
